Blougrond Print: The pearl carriers diptyque

High quality limited print (180mmx180mm) digitally printed on Illford Fine Textured Silk paper, 270gsm. Each print is embossed with the artist’s signature and includes a print number limited up to 50. Supported by a sturdy cardboard backing and sealed in a cellophane sleave. 
 
The pottery shards in this collection were the first blue and white illustrations that I created and sparked the idea for my textless illustrated book, Blougrond. Most of the shards are blue and white British transfer-printed ware that were excavated from the garden of my childhood home in Paarl, Western Cape. The shards ended up in the ground as general household waste during the 1700 and 1800’s.
